Hi there, my name is Kyle Millerick. I am a BS (Business Administration) graduate with a concentration in Marketing and IT.
I’m very ambitious, love fast-paced environments, and can quickly learn new software programs. I am highly interested in the hi-tech, e-retailer industries, which is where I’d prefer to pursue my career. The main areas of marketing that interest me are search engine optimization, search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, shopping and comparison engines, and social media.
I currently work as an online marketing manager for merit Educational Consultants, LLC. However, I am looking to expand by finding a job that will both develop and leverage my marketing skills. Please read a little bit more about me below.
I grew up in San Jose, California where I spent most of my childhood deeply involved in sports. At first, I was addicted to all kinds of sports, but as I grew up I learned to focus my attention towards soccer.
I started playing soccer when I was five. I became a competitor in my middle school years and played for a high-level select team. Unfortunately, my siblings were more interested in computers (my older brother Ryan) and dance (my younger sister Caitlyn). However, I was determined continue and found it enjoyable to connect with others interest in soccer. I developed a competitive edge that pushed me to always be prepared and attack the game with a winning attitude.
I was always a starting player for my club teams, the coaches could tell I had talent and wanted to help me develop. I also played on various Olympic development teams.
Soccer was my life. I wanted to prepare for it the best I could so when I wasn’t on the field I was running for the cross-country team. The stamina I was able to build from endurance conditioning helped me gain a starting position in as a colligate soccer athlete. I was a freshman starter for the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters soccer team, NCAA Division II. We made it to play offs my senior year, unluckily we lost in the tenth penalty kick. To this day, I continue to play soccer, whether it is an indoor, outdoor, or just pick-up game it doesn’t matter to me. I love and respect the sport enough to enjoy kicking the ball around by myself some days.
I try to maintain a healthy physical fitness because it keeps me sane after pounding away on the computer for eight to ten hours at a time.
I took part in less structure sporting activities as well, which was great because it brought my creative side out.
My family owned a speedboat so I was brought up water skiing, tubing, bare footing, and wakeboarding. In addition, I love to mountain biking, snowboarding, waterskiing, wakeboarding, skateboarding, surfing, skimboarding, and swimming.
